Building upon the lineup found on Disney's various channels, the new Disney Plus streaming service now offers on-demand access to a lot of children-friendly programs, along with several exclusive kids' shows.

What is Disney Plus and how much does it cost?With Disney Plus, Disney's new commercial-free streaming service, finding kids' entertainment can be easier and cheaper than with a traditional cable plan.

For $6.99 month or $69.99 a year, Disney Plus subscribers can get ad-free access to thousands of movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and 20th Century Fox. You can also bundle it with ESPN+ and Hulu for $12.99 a month.

What shows can my kids watch?With a Disney Plus subscription, you'll get a huge selection of kid-friendly movies (which we've listed here) along with shows like "Adventures of the Gummi Bears" and "Vampirina". Plus there's brand-new content created exclusively for Disney Plus, so your kids aren't just watching reruns.

A big bonus for parents is that you can stream Disney Plus on a tablet or smartphone, so if you need to keep the kids busy while you're at the checkout line at Target, you'll be covered with hours of kid-friendly content.

A special "Kids Profile" feature can also be used for children. This options restricts Disney Plus streaming access to titles that are rated TV-7FV and G.
