Even though India is not a favourable time for top executives right now due to severe hot conditions, executives such as Apple CEO Tim Cook, Nadella are visiting India.

These visits by high profile people reveal that India has become a huge market for tech firms as the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IMAI) said the internet population is expected to touch 371 million by June.

Even Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had said the number of internet users in India is likely to cross 500 million within this year.

As per the Economic Survey 2016-17, there were 19,400 technology enabled startups in India as of January 2016.

Nadella will also attend a session with some 100 top executives of corporate India for an hour at CII.

Before that, he had delivered a keynote address at Microsoft's 'Future Unleashed' event in Mumbai in November.
