Modi's Cabinet gets 19 new ministers, Prakash Javadekar elevated as Cabinet minister

The oath taking ceremony of 19 newly inducted ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi Cabinet was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in presence of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.

The ministers were evaluated on 3Es- Experience, Expertise and Energy. Minister of State (Independent Charge) Prakash Javadekar was elevated to the Cabinet rank.

During the ceremony, Lok Sabha members Arjun Ram Meghwal, Anupriya Patel, Mahendra Nath Pandey Krishna Raj, Ajay Tamta, S.S. Ahluwalia, Jaswant Sinh Bhabhor, Subhash Ramrao Bhamre, Rajan Gohain, Ramesh Chandappa Jigajinagi, etc took oath as Minister of States.

From Rajya Sabha, Ramdas Athawale, Purushottam Rupala, Faggan Singh Kulaste, M.J. Akbar, Anil Madhav Dave and Vijay Goel took oath as Ministers of State.

The selection of these ministers was also based on organisational skills and vision for good governance, who would bring value in the Cabinet.

The portfolios of these ministers will be announced after a meeting of council of ministers later in the day.
