Narendra Modi’s swearing in ceremony invites Bollywood star cast and former cricketers

  • Narendra Modi’s swearing in ceremony will be a star studded affair with bigwig industry leaders, Bollywood stars and sports players in attendance.
  • Former cricketers like Anil Kumble and Rahul Dravid will be giving the ICC World Cup a miss to attend the ceremony.
  • Kamal Hassan has also been invited after making his electoral debut during the Lok Sabha election this year.
Narendra Modi’s going be sworn in for a second term today and it’s going to be a star studded affair with veteran actors like Rajnikanth and industry bigwigs like Mukesh Ambani in attendance.

Kamal Hassan, who made his electoral debut this Lok Sabha election, as also been invited to the event despite being known for his opposition to Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Other Bollywood celebrities like Kangana Ranaut, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar have been extended invitation but confirmation of attendance is yet to come in.

Aside from Ambani, industry leaders like Gautam Adani, Ratan Tata and Ajay Piramal have also been invited to attend alongside foreign players like Bill Gates and John Chambers.

Adani and Ambani have been two of the key beneficiaries of the Modi regime. They’ve reportedly been seen accompanying the Prime Minister on his foreign trips during his last tenure, signing 18 deals in 16 countries between the both of them.

Former crickets, Anil Kumble, Javagal Srinath and Rahul Dravid, will also present at the event despite the ICC World Cup kicking off today afternoon.

Other notable names from the sports arena like sprinter P T Usha, badminton champion Saina Nehwal, gymnast Dipa Karmakar, and coach Pulella Gopichand.
