RANKED: Ivy League universities from most to least selective

While tens of thousands of potential students apply to each Ivy League university every year, only a handful get accepted.

Harvard University has the lowest admissions rate of all the Ivies, only taking 5.33% of students for the Class of 2019. This year, however, Columbia University overtook Yale University to become the second-most competitive school in the Ivy League.

Here are the admissions rates of all the Ivy League university for the Class of 2019, ranked from lowest to highest:

  1. Harvard University - 5.33%
  2. Columbia University - 6.1%
  3. Yale University - 6.49%
  4. Princeton University - 6.99%
  5. Brown University - 8.49%
  6. University of Pennsylvania - 9.9%
  7. Dartmouth College - 10.3%
  8. Cornell University - 14.9%

However, Stanford University - which is not in the Ivy League - remains the most selective university in America, with a 5.05% admissions rate for the Class of 2019.
