The 20 most popular travel destinations in the world

Mastercard's Global Destination Cities Index just released their ranking of the most visited cities in the world.

The list features the 20 "fastest-growing destination cities" over the seven-year period of 2009 to 2016.

Asian cities took up just over half the list - 11 spots - while four Middle Eastern cities made it into the ranking.
