These 5 infographics reveal some really disturbing facts about India

India, the largest democracy in the world, which houses the eighth wonder of the world- Taj Mahal boasts of diversities, numerous festivals, traditions, cultures and sights that one can't get enough of.

While India sees tourists visiting from all over the world who are amazed by all that we have to offer and want to soak in all the experiences, it goes without saying that our country also has its weak points. And, some of them are really disturbing. It's time we work towards ensuring that we no longer find a mention in these categories.

Business Insider thus compiled a list of five infographics which point to some very shameful trends about India, the country we love and are citizens of-

1. Turns out we love our selfies a little too much. According to data from 2014, India tops the list of countries with the most selfie-related deaths

2. India also holds the dubious distinction of being the largest importer of arms in the entire world. That can't be good.

3. The pollution level in the country is so bad that 13 of the world's most polluted cities are in India itself.

4. If the prediction of this chart is to believed, then in just about 10 years India will become the most populated nation in the world, defeating China.
