“Food doesn’t have a religion. It is a religion," said Zomato said in response to a customer who did not want his food to be delivered by a person of a certain religion.

A customer canceled his order after he found out that the Zomato delivery boy wasn't Hindu. He resorted to customer care to change the driver or refund the money he paid for the order. However, Zomato denied both.

Deepinder Goyal, founder and CEO of Zomato, supported the move by saying, "We aren't sorry to lose any business that comes in the way of our values."
