The World Series is on the line in Game 7. It is also the final game in the career of Cubs catcher David Ross and he has made it a memorable one.
Ross came into the game in the fifth inning with the Cubs up 5-1 and seemingly in control of the game. But with Jon Lester coming in to reliever Kyle Hendricks, disaster struck and it looked like Ross' final game could be a nightmare.
On a dribbler in front of the plate with a runner on base, Ross picked up the ball and threw wild to first base, putting runners on second and third. Then, Ross' legs got tangled up on a wild pitch and both runners scored, cutting the lead to 5-3.
But in the very next inning, Ross redeemed himself, hitting a home run off of the Indians' star relief pitcher, Andrew Miller. Much like Dexter Fowler's home run to lead off the game, Rajai Davis just missed robbing the home run.
