Google and Twitter announced on Tuesday that they were partnering to bring tweets in Google search engine to mobile apps. So, one can get real-time data from Twitter in Google searches.

As said by Google in its official blog, this is “another way for organisations and people on Twitter to reach a global audience at the most relevant moments.”
So, users can not only see all the tweets on Google search, but also get real time information about the most relevant news. At the same time, enabling viewing images and other tweets by sliding through the carousel of images and at one click will add extra traffic to it. No more opening Twitter and Google separately now. This will bring in new and increased traffic for Twitter.
“As far as social media is concerned, it is going to help Twitter in many ways. There are two kinds of users, one that searches only through Google and another that goes to twitter. The one who is not using Twitter right now can now get those links in the Google twitter search. This will help to drive in traffic to twitter. So this will actually help in getting new traffic and new users for the Twitter and also in the long run if there is some partnership with ads, it will help brands as well,” said Atul Ranjan, co-founder and managing director of Social Viral.

Know why the Google-Twitter partnership is groundbreaking
With its announcement, Twitter, Inc. (TWTR) shares soared up by nearly 0.59% to $37.50, yesterday at noon. Twitter’s decision to reunite with its lost love after four years seems like a good idea already.
This decision also reflects how user habits are changing. All they want is real time data. One of the main reasons why social media is gaining grounds at a breakneck speed is its timeliness.

Atul said that though there has been turf war between search and social, this deal is a huge milestone for mending the relationship between the two.
“There is a growing concern of search and social. The search world is dominated by Google. Google also has a social network and it is trying to expand. So there have been speculations from twitter that it might get access to their algorithm and might use it for its sole benefit. But now search and social is growing,” he said.
One of the greatest impacts would be on brand values. One negative or positive tweet will impact the brand greatly as it is visible in real time.
Where anything and everything affects the corporate sector, how can this be an exception? Well, it is not. In fact it is a great news for corporate whose revenue model is mostly dependent on the users. They can now reach the users directly and on real time, without losing out traffic and time
Though Twitter is not earning any revenue as of now, but the deal has scope for revenue generation in future via advertisements et al, if both of them wish so.
