A mom needed help understanding her teenage daughter, so she asked the internet if 'same' was a curse word

The word? "Same."
In case you're not familiar with the "same" joke, it's often an easy way to digitally nod in agreement. And the funnier the better. Tired on a Monday morning? Find a gif of a small puppy having trouble taking its first steps and falling down. "Same," you'll write next to the gif.
That dog is you.
Here's an example from Twitter.

Last week, after hearing her daughter use the "same" joke in their kitchen, a mom posted a question on Yahoo Answers asking for an explanation.
"I am a mother of two kids and my eldest daughter (now 17) is making me alarmed by the amount of times she is using the word same," she wrote in the post. "What does same mean? Is it a new curse word that I don't know about from that Tumbler website? Should I be punishing her for saying it in front of her sister?"
Now a screenshot of the Yahoo Answers post has started making its way around Tumblr. It's already been shared over 100,000 times.
If the post truly is from a confused mom, she's in luck. People on Yahoo Answers have been kind enough to clue her in.
"Same is just something someone says, normally on the internet, when they can relate to a picture or something. It's like short for saying 'I feel the same' or 'I feel like that item/person,'" wrote the top commenter.
