After Satya Nadella holding the top position at Microsoft , it is the turn of another Indian-born to hold the CEO’s position at a multinational. Nokia has plans to put Rajeev Suri in the shoes of its next CEO. Speculations of Rajiv becoming the CEO Nokia did rise in the past as well, but nothing concrete came through.
Now, it is almost certain that Rajeev will be heading the Finnish corporation, which has strong roots in India as well. Rajeev has been with Nokia since 1995 and is currently heading theNokia Solutions and networks division (NSN).
A Bachelor of engineering in electronics and telecommunications, before Nokia, Rajeev was a part of ICL (India), the RPG group and the Churchgate group in Nigeria. At the moment he seems to be the best choice Nokia has. He knows the Finnish company well, but can he sail the company through the current period of transition?
