ESPN legend Bob Ley rips up FIFA agenda in anger on live TV during election

ESPN's Bob Ley ripped up FIFA's agenda press release on live TV Friday morning while discussing FIFA's ongoing presidential election.
After FIFA delayed the start of their presidential election, Ley showed a press release from FIFA detailing their agenda for the day, saying "Only FIFA can do this," then showing how they're strayed off course.
Ley chided FIFA, starting by saying, "I'm not frustrated, I just want to make the point. For those who say it is base canard and unfair [to say] that FIFA makes it up as they go along..." He then paused to literally rip their press release and continued, "...they are literally making it up as they go along, right in front of our face."

Ley also seemingly compared the situation to Chicago's history of political corruption, saying, "There are streets being plowed, there is garbage being picked up, there are arms being twisted, and we're waiting to see - they're still on agenda number 11, and they were supposed to be on 17. So they are bouncing around the agenda. Makes you wonder what's going on."
Ley's rant earned praise from the ESPN community:

Sitting a few feet away and watching @BobLeyESPN shred the FIFA schedule is certainly the highlight of the morning.

Ley has covered soccer and FIFA for ESPN for decades and has been critical of the organization in recent years. On Thursday, Ley went on the Rich Eisen Show to discuss Sepp Blatter's reelection, and said, "He is still odds-on, numerically, the favorite to be reelected to a fifth term as FIFA president tomorrow, and that tells you everything you need to know about world soccer."
