Here come initial jobless claims ...

At 8:30 a.m. ET we'll get the latest weekly tally of initial jobless claims, just as the June jobs report is released.

Economists estimate that claims for unemployment insurance fell slightly to 270,000 last week, from 271,000 in the prior period.

The tally of claims is still near a post-crisis low.

"Claims have been very low, suggesting that there are fewer involuntary layoffs than the recent trend," Nomura economists noted in their weekly preview of the economy.
