In a bid to mark the International Day of Person with Disabilities on December 3, Modi government will come out with a new index in which companies will be rated on their disabled-friendly buildings and human resource policies.

Reportedly, companies will be rated for their disabled-friendly office buildings, the number of disabled persons hired, career development and training of the disabled staff, etc.

HR policies of companies will also be reviewed and they will also be assessed on sensitisation of peers towards persons with disabilities.

Through its Accessible India campaign, the NDA government wants public and private sectors to be sensitive towards differently-abled people.
