Nigel Farage will be £2,500 richer if Britain votes for a Brexit
Nigel Farage decided to put his money where his mouth is as the leader of UK Independence Party - commonly known as UKIP - by placing a £1,000 ($1,442) bet on Britain voting to leave the European Union.
The prominent Brexiteer visited a Ladbrokes store in Moorgate, central London today where he handed over the four-figure stake. The betting company is currently offering odds of 5/2 on Britain voting to leave the 28-nation bloc on June 23.
This means that if a Brexit takes place, Farage will win a total return of £3,500. If you take out his initial £1,000 stake, that means he'll make a profit of £2,500.
UKIP is the only British political party that is officially campaigning for Britain to leave the EU.
