Olympic silver medallist PV Sindhu and her coach and Dronacharya awardee P. Gopichand received a heart warming welcome at the Hyderabad airport.

Sindhu and Gopichand’s fans broke into jubilation as they waved to the crowds, with Sindhu showing her silver medal, from a top-open motorcade during a procession from the Hyderabad airport to Gachibowli stadium.

Sindhu was also accompanied by her parents and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, and some ministers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The Telangana government organised a gala felicitation ceremony for Sindhu, where the Indian shuttler spoke about her experience and grit during a press conference.
