Chris Coghlan goes airborne with his slide. In the top of the 7th inning of a tie game against the St. Louis Cardinals, Kevin Pillar of the Toronto Blue Jays tripled off the right-field wall. Coghlan, who was on first base, looked like he was going to be out by a mile at the plate. Instead, he went over the catcher with a perfect dive and landed on the plate to take a 3-2 lead. The Jays would eventually win in extra innings.
Eric Thames goes airborne with his bat, again. Thames can't stop hitting home runs. On Tuesday he hit his MLB-leading 11th home run. Maybe even more incredibly, it was his eighth home run against the Cincinnati Reds in April, tying the MLB record for most home runs against one team in April.
The Josh Reddick-goes-airborne-with-his-glove bonus. Reddick robbed Jason Kipnis of a home run to preserve the Houston Astros' 3-1 lead over the Cleveland Indians. The Astros would eventually win 4-2.
