A giraffe calf is pictured among others members of the herd in their enclosure at Planckendael's zoo near Mechelen, Belgium, October 10, 2015.

Standing at a staggering 19 feet tall, and weighing in at up to 3,500 pounds, the adult male giraffe is known the world's tallest animal, but what you may not know is that they have a brutal and ridiculous way of fighting.

Typically, giraffe's are gentle giants, living in loose, open herds without the leadership of a clear Alpha-male.

They rarely fight between each other, but during mating season, when males compete for the attention of females, they have been known to throw down in one of the most spectacular displays in the natural world.
