'The Walking Dead' is reportedly going to ridiculous lengths to stop a major secret from leaking
AMC
Season six of "The Walking Dead" ended on a frustratingly brutal cliffhanger back in April.
Long-awaited fan favorite Negan was introduced onto the AMC show in a similar fashion to his grand entrance in issue #100 of the comic series of the same name. After capturing Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and a good chunk of his crew, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) chose of the remaining survivors to brutally kill in front of everyone else as a lesson to not mess with Negan and his gang.
While many fans of the series and comics saw this coming a mile away, the big surprise was whether or not the show would diverge from the comics in who it decided to kill.
However, audiences were frustrated when the camera took the point of view of Rick's gang and the camera faded to black as we watched one of them beaten to death by Negan's iconic barbed-wired baseball bat (Lucille). We'll have to wait until season seven to find out who was killed.

Though the internet has a few ideas on who bit the dust, it sounds like the identity of Negan's victim is something the showrunners may still be figuring out right now.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Walking Dead" reportedly filmed a death scene for each of the 11 cast members at Negan's mercy.
"The Walking Dead producers and the episode director will then work with the show's editors and pick the character who does indeed die," writes THR's Lesley Goldberg.
Executive producer and finale director Greg Nicotero previously told THR that at the time the season six finale aired, the show hadn't filmed the death yet. So that may very well be the case.
As a reminder, here's everyone on the chopping block:
Rosita (Christian Serratos), Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Aaron (Ross Marquand), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rick (Andrew Lincoln), and Carl (Chandler Riggs).

You can probably cross Rick and Carl off that list. Negan made it pretty clear at the end of the season six finale that he wanted to teach Rick a lesson and that he couldn't kill him because he'd be a martyr for the gang. As well, he didn't seem too keen on touching the now one-eyed Carl because he feels he has too good of a story to continue. (Yeah, that Negan sure is charming.)
Remember, Negan also told his men that if anyone made a sound or tried anything funny as he carried out the execution to "cut the boy's other eye out and feed it to his father." Seriously.
We'll have to wait until season seven begins in October to know who Negan killed. Until then, we may get some hints at next month's San Diego Comic-Con.
