This car can drive sideways thanks to these crazy futuristic wheels
William Liddiard's Toyota Echo can drive sideways.
That's because Liddiard created a set of wheels that allow the car to move in any direction.
It can even spin in a full circle.
Aptly named Liddiard Wheels, these omni-directional wheels can be bolted onto any vehicle. Typically, a vehicle has to be built around wheels of this nature, Liddiard wrote on his YouTube page.
The wheels can also be used in any weather or road conditions. "They can take a beating," Liddiard wrote.
Currently the wheels are only a proof of concept. But Liddiard is interested in licensing the technology or partnering with a company to bring them to market.
