Girls often tend to forget that their bank account doesn’t resemble that of the Ambanis or the Kardashians while they are
Things like how affordable what we want to buy is or if we’ll be rendered broke after the purchases matter very little. For the time being, what matters is the soft feel of the material against our skin and the way it fits our body.
It’s only after we manage to shrug off the intoxication of the aroma of new clothes do we realize the horror- our wallets have a big fat hole which ultimately results in having too much month left at the end of our money.
But, thanks to

If there’s anything we like more than the feeling of buying clothes, it’s the feeling of buying clothes that rank high in the affordability scale!
The D-day was 2nd October. The time was 11 am. And, the venue? Delhi.
But, as a reward for all the fans of the brand who’ve been waiting with bated breath for an H&M store in India, the store decided to give a select few a sneak-peak of what awaits Indian customers a whole two days before the launch.
The pre-launch party had all the recipes to be a blockbuster. There was a red carpet, Ranveer Singh dancing to the DJ’s moves, celebrity blogger Malini Aggarwal (of Miss Malini fame) making an appaearnce along with a host of other stars and more than anything, a collection that’ll excite any fashion-lover.
But, that’s not all. H&M’s entry to the Indian market signifies so much more for brand lovers.

Business Insider lists out the three important reasons why H&M’s first Indian store in Delhi deserves a thumbs up!
1. World-class designs suited to Indian affordability: This has to be the biggest plus of having an H&M store opening in India. The collection is at par any international brand, but without the expensive tag. Every item in the store has been given a price favouring Indian standards and it clearly cannot get better than that!
One can buy atleast five statement clothing pieces here at the price of one ZARA dress. That calls for champagne and a trip to the mall, for sure!
2. Immense variety: For any clothing brand to earn a place in the hearts of its customers, it needs to give them a gala option of varieties. We need peplum, fringes, mustard yellow, oxblood, shift dresses and the good old midi. We need to be given so many options that something as simple as shopping becomes a strenuous exercise over what to get and what not to get.

And, to just say that H&M India perfectly delivers on that front would be a gross injustice. Expect a lot of bottle greens, digital prints that you won’t get enough of, snug fitting and dresses that call out to you (BUY ME! They say)3. Money saved on international shipping: I’ll go ahead and say this. No matter how addictive and time-saving it might be, shopping online can never bring the same amount of joy that comes with going to a particular store and buying clothes. But left with very little options of stores we can buy from, many of us have resorted to buying clothes from our favourite brand’s international websites and that long list included H&M too.
Now that H&M in India, we can bid goodbye to the enormous amount of money we’ve blown away for international shopping. Now, we can do something much more useful with that money- BUY MORE CLOTHES!
Now only if we got Topshop to open a store in India, life would be really perfect.
