#UdtaPunjab: From Aamir Khan to Karan Johar and their Tweets against piracy, a day after movie is leaked online

Udta Punjab and controversy are almost synonymous now, even as the movie continues to deal with multiple issues ranging from its certification to now piracy.

After fighting the censor board and getting the movie cleared with just one cut and an A-certification, the makers of Udta Punjab are now fighting piracy issues.

Just two days before release, ‘Udta Punjab’, was leaked online. Phantom Films has filed a copyright theft case with the cybercrime cell. It is being speculated that the copy that was submitted to the censor board was uploaded on various torrentz sites.

The download links were removed later owing to copyright complaint.

Following the piracy issue, Bollywood celebrities have come out in support of the movie, urging fans to watch it in theatres.

From Aamir Khan to Bipasha Basu, Bollywood actors and actresses took to Twitter and backed Udta Punjab’s star cast and decried piracy.
