Fall fashion is shaping up to be a major '90s throwback.

From velvet dresses to lace-up everything, here are the best styles that will be huge this fall, according to the Fall 2016 runways.

Dusty Pink

How you should style it:

Try not to go overboard with this color, and instead, pick a statement piece. Whether it's a dusty pink top, bag, pair of slacks, or a coat, keep the rest of your outfit neutral so you don't go overboard.

How you should style it:

While checker-printed suits were also popular on the runway for this season, in real life, a checker printed shirt, coat, or dress (as seen above) is a more low-key take on the style.

Layered Dresses

Designers are loving the layered look, and nowhere is that more obvious than with dresses with turtlenecks or long shirts underneath, similar to an updated jumper. A basic lightweight, black turtleneck will likely pair with any dresses you'd like to layer.

Cold Shoulder Tops

How you should style it:

Instead of wearing a sweater or dress without a sleeve the way it was commonly styled on the runway, consider a drop-shoulder design that only exposes one shoulder as a nod to the trend, like the BCBG sweater on the right.

Velvet

How you should style it:

Stick with basic black or jewel tones which are universally flattering and go easy on the accessories. The velvet is going to be a standout on its own.

Pussy Bow Blouses

How you should style it:

This staple blouse is really versatile and easy to wear, whether you go girly with a skirt or rough it up with leather pants, shorts, or denim to keep it more casual.

You could also add a ribbon necktie to any blouses or dresses you currently own to bring them up to trend.

Metallics

How you should style it:

From jackets to dresses, you'll be seeing a ton of shiny metallic materials this season. If you don't want to dive straight into the trend, try a metallic handbag or pair of shoes first to see if the look works for you.

Lace-up Everything

How you should style it:

Lace-up styles will still be really popular going into fall. Shirts with a plunging neckline and lace up detail are an easy way to wear the trend, especially dressed down with your favorite denim and booties on the weekend for brunch.

If you're feeling more daring, lace up dresses and skirts will also be popular.
