steps to check account balance in SBI (State Bank of India)

If you have a Bank Account with SBI (State Bank of India), you can check your account balance in many ways some of which are given below.

SBI Balance enquiry via Toll-free Number

As a SBI customer, you can use the SMS banking service provided by the bank to check your account balance or to receive a mini-statement.

Send SMS “BAL” to 09223766666

Give a missed call or SMS “MSTMT” to 09223866666

SBI ATM Card

If you have an ATM Debit card issued by SBI, you can visit the nearest ATM and get your balance by swiping the card in the ATM machine and choosing the “Balance Enquiry” option. If you choose the “Mini Statement” option, the SBI ATM will give a print out of the last 10 transactions.

SBI Net Banking


As an SBI Account holder, if you have registered for net banking, you can use your login id and password to long into your net banking account. Through this avenue, you can do balance enquiry, applying for personal loans and also funds transfer.

SBI SMS Service

You can register your mobile number of receiving account balance via SMS. To register for the same, go with the following step.

SMS “REG<space>Account Number” to 09223488888 (send this SMS only via your mobile number registered with SBI)

SBI Account Balance Via Missed call banking

The account holders of SBI can also use the missed call banking to avail of a range of services like mini-statement, E-statement, generating ATM PIN, ATM configuration and many others. To register for missed call banking, follow this step.

From your registered mobile number, SMS ‘REG<SPACE>Account Number’ to 09223488888. Once the service is activated for you, you will get a confirmation message from the bank.
