A rare large blast hit central Bangkok and deaths are being reported

Multiple injuries and casualties are being reported after a large explosion hit a commercial center in central Bangkok on Monday.

The cause of the blast is unclear and an explosion in the downtown of Thailand's capital is rare.The BBC is reporting that at least 12 people were killed in the explosion.The explosion happened near the Erawan Shrine, a Hindu shrine and tourist attraction.
