Air India wants Rs 4,270 crore sanctioned in Budget 2016 as growth plan

India’s national carrier, Air India, has asked for Rs 4,270 crore in upcoming Budget 2016, Rs 970 crore extra due to depreciating rupee value.
The government also plans to put in Rs 30,231 crore till 2020-21.
As part of its turnaround plan, Air India will hire 1500 employees, including 500 pilots.
