Amazon is offering new incentives to anyone who wants to open and run a courier business delivering packages for the e-commerce behemoth.

The company says delivery partners who are accepted into the program need only a minimum investment of $10,000, and they could earn about $300,000 in annual profits operating a fleet of up to 40 delivery vehicles.

To be considered for the program, individuals must apply through the company's website and prove that they have liquid assets of up to $30,000.

After signing into their Amazon account, applicants must provide information including their name and contact information.

Then, they must identify the top three areas where they would prefer to start their delivery business and answer questions about their work experience and access to cash.

These are all the questions Amazon asks:

  • Are you a military veteran?
  • Do you have experience building and developing a team?
  • Are you ready to commit to being a hands-on DSP owner full-time?
  • Have you ever owned and operated your own business?
  • Have you or a business you owned ever declared for bankruptcy protection?
  • Do you have at least $30,000 in available liquid assets?
