Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan likely to be Apple’s Indian brand ambassador

There was more to the bonhomie between Apple CEO Tim Cook and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan when the latter hosted a dinner for the CEO at his residence.
Speculations are rife that Shah Rukh is most likely to be Apple’s brand ambassador in India.
As per a report in AppleInsider, a formal announcement will be made when Apple will launch new iPhones in India.
Cook has maintained that Apple’s sees a bright spot in India and is making all efforts to tap the Indian smartphone market, which is currently ruled by Samsung.
However, Apple got a setback when India refused to grant it permission to sell refurbished iPhones in the country.
Apple also plans to open single-brand retail stores in India, a request which is pending over local sourcing norm.
