Kerala CM launches ''Yodhavu'' mobile appl to combat drug menace

Kochi, Feb 15 () 'Yodhavu' (Warrior), a mobile appthrough which the public can inform police about drug abuseand its distribution, was launched by Chief Minister PinarayiVijayan here on Saturday as part of efforts to curb thegrowing menace in the State.

Vijayan said a special feature of the application,introduced by the Kochi city police, was that the informer'sidentity could be kept secret.

Drug abuse among youngsters was painful, Vijayan saidand wanted people to extend support to the police and excisedepartments in curbing the menace.

The chief minister urged people to fight against thegrowing drug menace in the state.

The chief minister also inaugurated a most moderncyberdom cyber crime police station, new building of theInfopark police station and regional forensic sciencelaboratory's upper and lower subordinate quarters at the TCSauditorium at Infopark here.

The chief minister also unveiled the model of Kochicity police's new police complex being constructed at MarineDrive here. TGB BNBN BN
