Nickel futures fall on weak demand

New Delhi, Mar 23 () Nickel prices on Monday fell 2.93 per cent to Rs 835.50 per kg in futures trade after participants trimmed their positions amid weak demand at spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 25.20, or 2.93 per cent, to Rs 835.50 per kg with a business turnover of 2,270 lots.

Similarly, nickel contracts for April delivery slumped by Rs 25.70, or 3.01 per cent, to Rs 829.30 per kg in 209 lots.

Analysts said subdued demand in spot market mainly led to fall in nickel prices here. VHP SHWSHW
