CAT Exam 2021: The registration starts today, here’s how you can register yourself

  • The registration process for the CAT exam has already started today. The exam is scheduled on 28 November.
  • The last date to register is 15 September.
  • The registration fee is ₹2,200 and for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, the fees is ₹1,100.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) for 2021 is scheduled on November 28 and the registration process has already begun today i.e August 4, 2021.

CAT is a common aptitude entrance test for candidates who wish to enrol themselves for management courses in Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and in business schools for MBA.

Candidates who wish to give a shot can apply online on the official website of IIM CAT. The last date for the registration process is 15 September.

How to apply for CAT 2021?

  1. Open the official website of IIM CAT on any smart device.
  2. Click on the CAT 2021 link, and then generate your unique ID and password.
  3. An OTP will be generated on the mobile number and email provided as you will be verified through that OTP to complete the registration process.
  4. After the verification, your unique ID and password will be sent to your registered email id and number.
  5. Login with your unique ID and password to fill the Application form.
  6. Read the instructions and then enter all the information.Make sure you verify all the details you mentioned thoroughly before submitting the application.
    Note: You will not be allowed to make any changes after submitting the application and making the payment.
7. After adding all the details, you will have to make an online payment. The fees for CAT registration is ₹2,200 and for candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories, the fees is ₹1,100.8. You can take a print out of the application for future reference.Who all are eligible for the CAT exam?

Before registering yourself, you should know whether you are eligible for the exam or not. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with at least 50% marks, or equivalent Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA). The criteria for candidates belonging to [full form first] Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) , Public works Department (PwD) category is 45%.

Candidates who are yet to appear for their final year of Bachelor degree’s examination, or those who are awaiting for their results are also eligible for the examination.
