Billionaires mingled with athletes and celebrities this weekend during the Miami Grand Prix.

The third-annual Miami Grand Prix officially kicked off on Friday, with racers like Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo duking it out on the Miami International Autodrome. The 3.7-mile racetrack surrounds Hard Rock Stadium.

Among the crowds of F1 fans gathered in SoFlo were billionaires like Jeff Bezos, who spent time with Tom Brady on Thursday.

A video obtained by Page Six showed Bezos and the former NFL star hanging out at The Surf Club Restaurant for an event hosted by Sports Illustrated. The pair chatted with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, attorney Alex Spiro, and Authentic CEO Jamie Saltar, according to the outlet.

The meet-up between Bezos and Brady isn't all that surprising, given that they're neighbors. The Palm Beach Post reported in August 2023 that Bezos bought a home on Indian Creek — also known as "Billionaire Bunker" — where Brady already lived.

The next day, Brady watched a practice session ahead of the race.

Elon Musk also made an appearance during the Miami Grand Prix weekend. The Tesla founder appeared on Friday at American Express Presents CARBONE BEACH, a 4-night "supper club experience," on Friday.

Musk has been bogged down by issues at Tesla, including layoffs and a Cybertruck recall.

During the event, Musk sat next to Ken Griffin, a billionaire hedge fund manager and founder of Citadel. Citadel and Citadel Securities used to be headquartered in Chicago but moved to Miami in 2022.

Other guests at the AMEX event included Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, who announced her intention to step back from politics in 2022 following her father's time in the White House. The couple now live in South Florida.

Although the Miami Grand Prix is a spectacle that draws F1 fans from all walks of life, it also helps boost the local economy.

A 2023 independent report commissioned by Miami Grand Prix said the local economy raked in $449 million from the event, according to The Athletic.
