Eva Mendes hasn't appeared on-screen in a movie or TV show since 2014, and the actress revealed recently that if she were ever to go back to work again she would have some stipulations.

"I have such a shortlist of what I will do, with [my] kids," Mendes said recently on "The View" (via Entertainment Weekly). Mendes has two children with Ryan Gosling; the pair have been in a relationship since 2011.

"I mean, if it was a fun project. But now I won't do violence, I don't want to do sexuality, the list is short," Mendes continued.

Mendes has not been seen on-screen since she starred in Gosling's directorial debut "Lost River" back in 2014. Since then, she has been involved in endeavors surrounding fashion and beauty.

She also lent her voice to the hit animated series "Bluey" in 2021, playing a yoga instructor.

In 2019, Mendes talked to USA Today about why she pulled back on her acting endeavors after meeting Gosling and having children with him.

"I felt a lack of ambition, if I can be honest," she said. "I feel more ambitious in the home right now than I do in the workplace."

"What I try to emphasize is that I don't let them see me put attention to how I dress. They've never seen me get ready for something; they've never seen me at work," Mendes continued. "Which is fine, for whoever wants to do it that way, but the way I keep it normal is by not letting them see me in these situations. I'm just Mom. And I'm more than happy to just be Mom."
