Nick Cordero 'doing good' after his leg was amputated due to COVID-19 complications

Los Angeles, Apr 21 (PT) Broadway actor Nick Cordero, who underwent surgery to get his leg amputated due to coronavirus complications, is recovering well, his wife-celebrity fitness trainer Amanda Kloots said.

After spending 18 days in the intensive care unit (ICU) with the COVID-19 infection, the Tony-nominated actor needed to get a surgery due to complications from the virus.

Kloots, who has been updating about her husband's health on social media, shared the good news on her Instagram Story on Sunday.

"I just heard from the doctors, he's doing good, guys. He is doing the best that he possibly can right now... Surgery went well. He's recovering well... Everything seems to be calmed down now," she said in the video.

"We're still rooting for him to wake up," she added.

The 41-year-old actor has been sedated in the ICU since April 1.

Last Saturday, Kloots revealed that the "Waitress" star will have to get his leg amputated. Later in the day, she said that the actor had made out of the surgery alive.The couple have a son, Elvis. RDS SHDSHD
