Janney has kept busy with plenty of TV and film roles in the years since "Hairspray."
She starred in movies like "Juno," "The Help," and "Spy." Janney has also guest-starred on a variety of shows, including "Lost," "Veep," and "The Kominsky Method."
Additionally, the actress has voiced characters in "Finding Nemo," "DuckTales," and "Phineas and Ferb." Janney's role as Bonnie on the CBS sitcom "Mom" (starring Anna Faris) earned her several Emmy nominations and two wins in 2014 and 2015.
Janney won her first Academy Award in 2018 for her supporting role as LaVona, Tonya Harding's abusive mom, in the biopic "I, Tonya."
She teamed up again with "I, Tonya" costar Margot Robbie for 2019's "Bombshell," based on the Fox News controversy centered on Roger Ailes.
Most recently, the actress starred alongside Hugh Jackman in HBO's "Bad Education," a film based on a real-life embezzlement scandal that took place at a school in Long Island, New York.
