Great communication helps
Nobody in the movie uses cryptic language. When the squad first sees each other the first time, Special Forces Veteran and Squad Leader Rick Flagg tells them, “This is the deal: You disobey me, you die. You try to escape, you die. You irritate or vex me.”
Everybody in the film means business. Deadshot says, “I’m a hitman, not a fireman.” Once when Harley Quinn, played by Robbie breaks a shop window and robs a nice purse, she says, “We’re bad guys, it’s what we do.”
Nobody minces their words, and that ensures great communication.
If you can’t compress what you do in a line, you’re no leader. Simple.

Diversity is critical to growth
Think of it, Suicide Squad features three white men, four women, three African-Americans, a Mexican-American and a Japanese American.
The 11 main actors come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique insights into the squad. When you’re on the platform and in leadership, its critical for your team to be multi-cultural to expand yout audience as well.

The skilled crowd is always in demand
The selection criterion for the Suicide Squad was – you have to be the worst of the worst.
Think of the scene where Deadshot’s firepower stopped the group of slimy evil creatures single-handedly. So much so everyone stopped and watched him, amazed.
There’s no place for mediocrity in leadership. You have to lead with example, that’s why you’re on the team!

It’s fine to have a weakness
While some squad members were textbook sociopaths and downright maniacs, they had weaknesses. It’s fine to have one. That’s how you know you’re human. The one thing everyone has in common is we all have a past and things we regret. Everyone wants to be redeemed, and craves something.
If someone as crazy as Harley Quinn has a weakness, you can have one.
