HERE COMES HOUSING STARTS...

Heads up! We are minutes away from the release of December U.S. housing starts and building permits data, due out at 8:30 AM ET.

The consensus estimate of market economists polled by Bloomberg is that starts fell 9.7% from a month earlier in December to 985,000 units at an annualized pace after advancing 22.7% to 1.09 million units annualized in November.

Permits are expected to have fallen 0.3% from a month earlier in December to 1.014 million units annualized after sliding 3.1% in November.
