Economists predict total sales rose 0.1% from the previous month in October after falling 0.1% in September.
Growth in sales excluding autos is expected to have slowed to 0.1% from September's 0.4% advance, while growth in sales excluding autos and gasoline is expected to have slowed to 0.2% from 0.4%.
The retail sales control group figure that feeds into GDP calculations is expected to have risen 0.3% in October after a 0.4% advance in September.
