Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison accidentally tackled a kid during a soccer game on Wednesday.

During a campaign stop ahead of Saturday's federal elections, Morrison was invited to play a small, five-on-five game with some youth players from the Devonport City Strikers soccer club in Devonport, Tasmania.

Eyes on the ball, Morrison could be seen in a BBC video running into a kid before they both fell to the ground — causing a bit of a roar from the crowd.

The Guardian reported that Morrison and the kid — whose name is Luca Fauvette — appeared to be fine following the collision.

"We think Luca showed plenty of determination and effort to stop the PM scoring at all costs!" Devonport City Strikers wrote on Facebook. "The latest star of the election is ok and looking forward to being the star of the show at school tomorrow!"

The Guardian reported that Morrison stopped at the Strikers club on Wednesday to discuss a new, multi-million dollar grant for stadium improvements.

Morrison, who leads the country's Liberal Party, has been prime minister since 2018 and is being challenged by Labor Party Leader Anthony Albanese.

Jason Clare, a Labor member of parliament, took the incident to make a little jab on Twitter.

"No one is safe from the bulldozer #FireTheLiar," Clare wrote.
