The election scene in Sikkim will see a direct contest between ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) and the Opposition Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM). In the upcoming Lok sabha elections, Chamling will field for the Sikkim Democratic front placing himself in a direct contest with Golay who will fight for the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha. Pawan Kumar Chamling has filed his nomination for the assembly polls to contest from the Namachi constituency.
