MTV explores the position Caucasians find themselves in when discussing race and privilege on its upcoming documentary special, "White People."

How do white people feel when confronted with questions of race and privilege? After watching the first trailer, the short answer would be: They feel pretty uncomfortable.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Jose Antonio Vargas, traveled the United States to discuss the topics facing white millennials from a variety of backgrounds. The topics he discussed with them spanned from white privilege, affirmative action, to racial identity.

During the course of the trailer, we see individuals who feel a great amount of discomfort speaking openly about race. It's as if they're damned if they do speak and damned if they don't. The subjects say things like "I'm trying to be careful," and "I don't want to offend people," as well as "I don't want to say the wrong thing."
