Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been sentenced to five days in jail after pleading guilty to driving under the influence and causing injury after crashing his Porsche in Napa County, California in May of this year.

The 82-year-old multimillionaire's sentence also includes a three-month drunk driving program, restitution payments, one year with an ignition interlock device, and three years of probation, according to Fox News.

Judge Joseph Solga who presided over the case, said that Pelosi has credit for four days — two from time already served and two for conduct credits. The last day of his jail sentence will instead be an 8-hour work program.

Included in his agreement, Pelosi also plead guilty to violating California Vehicle Code 23153(a) and in the interest of justice, a second charge was dismissed, Fox News reported.

Pelosi was not present in court for his sentencing, however his lawyer, Amanda Bevins appeared on his behalf.

Pelosi previously plead not guilty to two charges when he was arrested for driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher for which the sentence is five years of probation and a minimum of five days in jail. He reportedly caused "major collision damage" to a 2014 Jeep near California Route 29 and Oakville Cross Road.

House speaker Pelosi has not commented on her husband's arrest, except for saying it is a "private matter" in a statement from her office. The speaker was on the East Coast for a commencement speech at Brown University the day of the accident.
