Unlike the Taj Lake Palace— also called a ‘floating hotel’ — these sixteen floating hotels will actually rest on the water

They don’t require major ports or deep water to accommodate them

The floating hotels are around 72 metres long and 16 metres wide

Each hotel has 101 guest rooms, a restaurant and a lounge bar

All hotels will be identical and offer a total of 1616 rooms

This is the first time that floating real estate has been used as a temporary solution for accommodation at this scale, according to ADMARES

Once the World Cup is over, they can be placed at any coastal location where the water is at least 4-metres deep
