While day two of the first test between India and South Africa has been washed out, weather forecast at Centurion ground in Gauteng province of South Africa seems like the game is likely to resume today.
However, data from The Weather Channel showed a 60% chance of rain, along with thunderstorms, on Thursday (December 30), which is the fifth and the final day of the test.

If the game were to be washed out or truncated on Thursday as well, it would mean there are three innings to finish in less than three days of the Test.
India is batting first with a score of 272 with the fall of three wickets, that of Mayank Agarwal (60), Virat Kohli (35) and Cheteshwar Pujara for a golden duck. KL Rahul is on the crease at the start of day three with an unbeaten 122 (his seventh Test century and the second one this year), along with Ajinkya Rahane at 40 not out.
India’s batting prowess runs deep until Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin, the in-form Rishabh Pant, who is yet to come in, is having his best year in Test cricket so far.
The South African bowling attack has been largely ineffective other than Lungi Ngidi who took al three wickets for the Proteas.
