Startup India hosts the women panel to celebrate stories of innovative women entrepreneurs in the country, a great step for the transforming startup ecosystem. But all the panelists agreed on one point that “Women need to be on panels, not just women entrepreneur panels”.

Women are transforming the startup industry but they want o be recognised as an achiever and not as a women achiever. While starting up a new venture and raising funds, the first question that comes to the apprehensive minds is whether the investors will entertain women entrepreneurs.

“There are investors who don’t judge us being a women,” said Anisha Singh, co-founder of mydala.

Sairee Chahal, founder of Sheroes said that though India produces the maximum women graduates in the world, they cannot make the right career choices due to the environment created around.
