Tata Steel Signs Deal With Subsea 7 To Supply Pipes Worth €10 Million

Tata Steel has signed contracts worth €10 million (Rs 82 crore) with Subsea 7 to supply undersea pipes.

"The four contracts, signed over the past year and worth an estimated Euro 10 million in total, will see Tata Steel supply in excess of 55 km of pipe weighing more than 9,000 tonnes," the company said in a statement.

As per the contracts, Tata Steel will supply 28 km of carrier pipe and 27 km of sleeve pipe.

Tata Steel said it has also signed a global framework agreement with Subsea 7 to further strengthen the companies' long-standing partnership, which began 25 years ago.

"This latest series of contracts further demonstrates the breadth of our offering to the Energy & Power sector. Over the last 25 years, we have provided more than 83,000 tonnes of pipe to Subsea 7 for 37 projects worldwide," said Richard Broughton, commercial manager, exploration and production, energy & power, Tata Steel.
