The pound's weak performance after Brexit can make it seem like holidays are more expensive than ever, but they needn't be if you find the right city.

Travel company Mondono has listed the cheapest places to travel around the world in the new year.

The website looked at the average cost of various travel essentials - including a night's stay in a hotel room, dinner for two, a 1km taxi ride and a pint of beer, and a bottle of wine - in cities all over the world.

While some destinations are still pricey when it comes to alcohol, it is easy to find somewhere that will cost you less than £100 ($123) per night on your holiday. From Belfast to Bulgaria, here are the cheapest places to travel in 2017.
