So you have a few vacation days saved up, and maybe some airline miles itching to be redeemed. But where should you go?

If a hop across the pond is in your future, look no further than Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards for 2016, which are based on a survey that includes responses from thousands of experienced travelers.

Along with hotels, islands, and airlines, Travel + Leisure ranked the top 15 cities in Europe.

Knock several of these off in one go, as both Spain and Italy dominate the list with four cities each taking top honors. The number one spot, Florence, Italy, has dominated for nine out of the last 10 years.
