The internet is enamored with a wholesome video of a woman trying Alka-Seltzer for the first time at the encouragement of her mother.

In the clip from September 23, which has been viewed over 7.2 million times, the 22-year-old Brooke Jenkins gingerly popped an Alka-Seltzer tablet into a cup of water and watched as it bubbled.

"Woah," she said while looking up at her mother off-screen. "I feel like I'm dying Easter eggs."

"Hurry, do the other one!" her mom responded, prompting Jenkins to drop a second tablet in quickly. Jenkins then took a sip and said she liked it, although it gave her "golf course vibes."

"I don't know what that means," her mom replied.

The comment section of her viral TikTok, however, is full of people who immediately picked up on what Jenkins meant. (Alka-Seltzer is a heartburn relief and stomach ache medicine that's often associated with and prescribed to older people.)

"'I feel like I'm drinking golf course' made me laugh till I had a headache," one top comment said.

Commenters also obsessed over every hilarious detail in the video, like how quickly she dropped the second tablet in and calling the vibe between her and her mom "amazing." Many were shocked to learn that this was her first time trying the remedy.

"The first sound of the tablet hitting the glass sounded like the first note in 'Runaway' by Kanye lmao," one person joked.

Her 50-second clip made older commenters nostalgic. One person wrote that drinking Alka-Seltzer as a kid was "literally worse than actually being sick." Conversely, another user said they "used to always love" it as a child and called it the "best experience ever."

"My mom passed this wisdom down to me as well," one viewer added.

Some people were inspired by Jenkins' analogy and shared their own abstract metaphors; one viewer wrote that the orange-colored Alka-Seltzer (intended for hangover relief) makes them feel like "there's a car wash inside of" them.

Jenkins told Insider the video came about because she was "severely hungover" and had gone downstairs to see if there was any Advil. "My mom was like, 'Oh, you should try an Alka Seltzer instead because they've helped me in the past,'" she said.

Jenkins said she enjoyed the taste and, after being informed by commenters that there are different flavors and kinds of Alka-Seltzers, she's excited to try others. (She's been feeling sick so she might try Alka-Seltzer's cold and flu variant, she said.)

Jenkins had no idea the video would go so viral and be so resonant, but she and her mom both appreciate the feverish audience response.

"I thought the whole thing was so funny and I was still confused about the golf course comment," Jenkins' mom told Insider. "It's also very representative of our typical conversations."
